Matthew 11:28-30
“My journey through the Victory in Jesus substance abuse recovery program has been transformative. At my lowest battling addiction, I felt hopeless, but this program has been a beacon of light in my life.
Victory in Jesus is not just a recovery program; it’s a testament to the power of faith, love, and community. Through Christ’s teachings, I’ve overcome addiction, rediscovered my purpose, and found support from the dedicated staff and fellow participants.
Prayer and fellowship are the cornerstones of my sobriety. Victory in Jesus has allowed me to rebuild my life on a foundation of faith and love. I am eternally grateful for God guiding me to this program.
When I arrived, I had my Florida state ID, hopes, and prayers to obtain all required documents to rejoin the working world. Thanks to the chance from Victory in Jesus, I’ve obtained all my documents, work a rewarding job I love, and recently bought my first car.
I remember meeting Pastor John; he’s a kind, intelligent, patient, understanding, down-to-earth, and decent human being. He believed in me when others did not, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Victory in Jesus has given me the tools and strength to lead a life free from addiction and filled with the grace of our Lord. This program has not only saved me but has shown me the path to redemption.
I wholeheartedly recommend Victory in Jesus to anyone seeking recovery through the healing power of faith.”.

"I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 23, 1971. My sister and I were removed from our abusive home at the age of five and placed into foster care before being adopted four years later.
Unfortunately, our struggles didn’t end there. By our early teens, we were rebelling and running away from home. I began skipping school, drinking, and using drugs, which led to my first felony at 17. By age 20, I had committed two armed robberies, resulting in an 18-year prison sentence.
In 1994, during my incarceration, I attended a church service at the Clemens Unit in Brazoria, Texas.
A preacher’s message about Jesus Christ as the "Rose of Sharon" stirred something in my heart, and I gave my life to God. Although I walked with Him for a time, I backslid after my release in 2005, falling into heavy drinking and eventually meth addiction by 2012.
This destructive cycle led me back to prison from 2015 to 2019 and another parole violation afterward.
My life began to truly change when I arrived at Victory in Jesus Recovery Center.
This place has been a turning point for me, offering the structure, support, and faith-based guidance I needed to start rebuilding.
Through their programs, I’ve found the tools to address my struggles and grow in my recovery. Though some days are harder than others, with God’s help and the support of this incredible community, I’m on a path to healing and transformation.
Victory in Jesus has been instrumental in helping me reclaim my life, giving me hope and a second chance to live with purpose."
